Ying and Yang

Human ego is basically conditioned by, and continues to unfold between, the divisive Yang pole of separateness and the connecting Yin of union.

Between these polarities of separation and encounter –loss of oneness and the re-establishment of oneness through meeting– the sense of identity continues to grow.
